“A built-in bra, for running, with a D cup? That will never hold.” You have every reason to be skeptical. In a lot of tops with a built-in bra, the “bra” is a thin lining with two pads that wander around. You end up wearing a real sports bra underneath, and the top was pointless.
This one was designed for high impact. The sports bra is built into the tee, and its pads are fixed: they are not removable, so they don't shift and there is nothing to put back in place mid-workout. The fabric (80% polyamide, 20% elastane) is very stretchy and the cut is fitted, so everything stays in place, even during your most intense movements.
What it does, and what it doesn't. Running, CrossFit, hard sessions: this is maximum support, and that is what it was made for. We'd rather be upfront: the pads don't come out, and the cut sits close to the body. If you want a loose tee or a bra without pads, this isn't the right piece.
With a D cup and up, it all comes down to size. A size too small flattens your chest, and since the pads are fixed, the right size is what puts them in the right place.
